Add a video to YouTube

You can upload videos from your computer or your mobile device.

Upload a video from your computer

Sign in to YouTube Studio
Click Create > Upload videos
Select your videos – you can upload up to 15 videos at a time
While the videos are updating, click Edit to edit all the details
Add a good video title, eg, Your Track Name – Your Artist Name (titles are limited to 100 characters)
Add a good description, for example, if you’re a muso and you’re uploading a song:
- Add the lyrics
- Credit your musicians, producer, manager, loved ones, anyone who deserves a little mention
- Create a standard set of credits to add to all your videos. Add full urls as these will convert to clickable links! For example:

Set your thumbnail or upload a 1920x1080px image
Add your video to a playlist, if that’s relevant
Specify if the video was made for kids
Once all the checks have finalised, set your Visibility – Public, Unlisted, or Private – then Publish or Schedule your video
