The Arana Hills District Probus Club wanted a new website, the main goals being to attract new members and keep existing members up to date with meetings, events, and other Club information.
With around 90 members, there were two main audiences to consider – the 65-75 age group, who are quite comfortable online, and members over 75, who often prefer printed newsletters. Of those who are online, usage is fairly evenly split between computers, tablets, and phones. So the website needed to be mobile-friendly and easy to navigate for all users.
The site needed to include information about upcoming social events and meetings, background information about the Club, and a photo gallery. It also needed a password-protected Members Area to provide access to downloadable newsletters and event RSVPs.
what I did
The new Arana Hills District Probus Club website was built on the Squarespace platform, a secure, cloud-based platform that’s both easy to use and visually appealing. Most of the features needed are built in, which helped keep things simple and cost-effective.
The Events Calendar was built using Elfsight’s free Event Calendar app. This app allows for easy event management, with events being displayed on the website in different styles – grid, calendar, or slider.
